Sailing Success at Isle of Wight F18 and Hurricane Nationals

Over 100 sailors took part in this year’s F18 and Hurricane 5.9 Nationals, the UK’s largest catamaran event sponsored by Dinghy Insurance provider Insurance4dinghies.

The event took place at the Yaverland Sailing and Boat Club in Sandown Bay, the Isle of Wight from 12-14 August. Participants enjoyed fabulous sailing conditions at what is argued to be the highlight event of the season, with the eventual winners Richie Hanmore and Steve Pyman in the British Hurricane Class National Champions and Rob Wilson and Marcus Lynch in the F18 class.

Insurance4Dinghies’ own Sales Director John Tuckwell found himself among the podium takers coming in fifth position overall with his sailing partner Christopher Hanmore in the Hurricane Class.
